This year marked extraordinary growth, bold faith, and transformative progress for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community. What began as a vision has become a movement—one rooted in dignity, opportunity, and belonging.
In 2025, Garlyn Place:
- Celebrated a groundbreaking on 106 donated acres
- Hosted ten Uniter pre-vocational workshops
- Launched successful community pop-up shops
- Partnered with LIT Nursing through our UNITE program
- Raised over $1.4 million through generous donors and community support
- Secured a location for our 2026 pilot day program
Through land donations, community partnerships, volunteer leadership, and unwavering faith, Garlyn Place is building a future where adults with disabilities are empowered to thrive—not just exist.
As Executive Director Patricia Allen shared, this mission was born from lived experience, advocacy, and a calling to create something better for families who have long waited for meaningful opportunities after graduation.
